Theresa Lee
Consultant, Boston

Theresa Lee is the founder and CEO of TJL Partners. For 25 years she served as a senior executive in advancement during comprehensive campaigns at MIT, Boston College, Holy Cross, WPI, and UMass Lowell with roles in major gift fundraising, management of annual and major gift fundraising teams, alumni and parent relations, human resource and budget management.

She is a leader in CASE District I, co-chairing the educational program for the annual conference for two years as well as co-chairing the development track. As an instructor for Boston University's professional fundraising course and a frequent speaker for the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), and Women in Development (WID), she has shared knowledge and practical solutions with fundraising professionals from across the world in all types of non-profits.

Theresa earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Maine and a master’s degree in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University. She is a proud Black Bear, serving as an Admissions Ambassador and on the Board of Directors for the UMaine Alumni Association. Theresa lives in Northborough, MA and has two children, Katherine and Connor, with her husband, Nelson. A competitive athlete, Theresa enjoys hiking, golfing, and running – completing nine Spartan races and three Tough Mudder races. From an early age, Theresa loved to read biographies and autobiographies, endlessly curious about the details of the lives of people. She finds life endlessly interesting and extraordinarily funny.
