232 | Will fundraising take a qualitative turn in the post-pandemic economy?

The Fundraising Talent Podcast, a production of Responsive Fundraising

This may not going to come as much of a surprise to most, but our team at Responsive Fundraising are betting on an all out qualitative turn in how fundraising practices are evaluated in the post-pandemic economy. Unless you were living under a rock for the last twelve months, the pandemic driven home the fact that it’s the quality of relationships, not the quantity, that ensures we achieve our goals. Arguably, this is a lesson far too many had not already learned.

With this qualitative turn in mind, I asked our good friend Arnie at CueBack and our friend Travis at Role Identity Solutions, to share with me their thoughts about what such a shift in mindset might look like. Arnie was quick to point out that what has and will always give quantitative data the upper-hand is that it’s simply easier information to crunch. And, while that is certainly true, as Travis shared with us, this quantitative information has amounted to what he referred to as a “library of assumptions” that hasn’t been updated in a very long time.

As always, we are very grateful to our friends at CueBack for sponsoring The Fundraising Talent Podcast. Also, if you’re interested in learning more about Role Identity Solutions, be sure to visit their website.
