Earlier this week we talked about the reasons why an organization would consider outsourcing its lane one fundraising efforts. Today, we want to answer the question of what does that ideal partnership look like. We’re wrapping up our week with Howard Gottlieb, the founder of the award-winning Read-A-Thon platform - an ideal partner for schools leaders who want take their lane one fundraising efforts to another level. As I shared with Howard, I have seen several of our school clients organize similar programs without the advantages of a user-friendly, virtual  platform like his.

The Read-a-Thon platform creates an ideal opportunity for engaging parents, grandparents, friends, and neighbors in an activity that the students are already doing every day - reading. Just as donors have come to expect of the best lane one fundraising activities, they get to see the impact of their gifts in real-time and in very specific and meaningful ways. After having participated in this annual event, the fundraising professional has the opportunity   to transition these relationships into the subsequent lanes; ensuring for themselves a long-term sustainable donor relationship.
